Research

In our research group, we are interested in different areas of statistics from a theoretical and practical point of view. A special focus is given to biostatistical application. A short (not-comprehensive list) of topics, we work on, can be found below.

  • Diagnostic tests
  • Factorial Designs, allowing inferring main effects of different factors (e.g. treatment group, gender, origin) or interaction effects between them
  • (Simultaneous) confidence intervals for effect sizes or contrasts thereof (e.g. differences of effect sizes from different treatment groups)
  • Functional Data Analysis
  • Mathematical Propoperties of the Random Forests
  • Multiple Testing
  • Resampling Procedures to improve the procedures' quality for small sample sizes.
  • Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Spaces
  • Survival analysis, in particular, in non-standard situations, e.g. non-proportional hazards
